This is a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T, "Hemi Powered" Dick Landy, Drag Car, produced and marketed by Ertl / Performance Years Enterprises, as a'Special Limited Edition" 1:18 scale diecast model replica of the car that was campaigned by "Dick Landy during the 1973-74 NHRA season. The featured model is finished in a tri-tone paint scheme of White, Black, & Orange metallic's, and complemented with all of the as raced sponsorship graphic's, and decals, the black interior is optioned with bucket seats, center console, with 4-speed manual shifter, simulated wood steering wheel, dash and hood mounted gauges to monitor the engine vitals, and it rides on "Firestone" Drag 500 racing tires on front & slicks on the rear, all mounted on a set of solid faced chrome wheels. This replica is also equipped with optional Challenger T/A hood to allow maximum air to feed the two 4 bbl. Carbs that sat on top of the 426 "Hemi" V-8, plus a pair of open "HOOKER" headers to allow the spent gases to exit with very little restriction, you can just imagine the sounds and the smells, WOW! OK, so this model has never been out on display, or even out of it's original factory packaging, and the outside windowed display box is very nice near new condition.
