Mopar 426 Hemi Engine Block for Super Stock Racing by Ray Barton Racing

Here we have a very cool piece of automotive racing History. This is an Authentic, Decommissioned, Serialized Ray Barton Racing Engines Super Stock 426 Hemi Block. This Block is #102 as engraved on the ID Pad, not just a run of the mill Hemi. That being said it is one that can be repaired with some work or make one hell of a cool conversation piece in your Shop or Man Cave. Either way this is the cheapest way into a Real Deal Super Stock Racing Engine that you will Find.

This started life as a 4.250 bore World 426 Hemi Block w/ Caps cast Mopar P5153843 on the side. Then Ray Worked His Magic doing what he does. There is an extensive amount of tedious upgrades made to this block, big and small, to push towards world recond setting passes. The block Does have Damage to cylinder #3 and will need its sleeve replaced as well as being puckered some on the side(See Pics). Some of the sleeves have some light pitting not from poor storage, but from foreign objects in the metal itself.

Has its Original 4 bolt main Caps with ARP Studs and Bolts. Valley Area Has been Reinforced aswell and worked for bushed lifters, set up for needle bearings on camshaft, and the list goes on. Oil Pan Rail has been machined off and block has NOT been Filled, So can still be cooled.

3-4.313 needs new sleeve. I have the engine coated in cosmoline to protect from oxidation and to keep the machined areas fresh.
